  • Track moving objects with their eyes

  • Develop better head control when on their tummy

  • Push up on forearms

  • Bear some weight through their legs when supported

  • Hold their head in the middle while lying on their back

👶 3–6 Months

  • Roll from tummy to back

  • Bring hands together

  • Push up on hands during tummy time

  • Sit with support

  • Tuck their chin when pulled up to sit

👶 6–9 Months

  • Roll both ways

  • Pivot on their tummy

  • Sit independently

  • Move in and out of sitting

  • Transfer objects from one hand to the other

  • Pull to stand from kneeling

  • Cruise sideways holding furniture

👶 10–12 Months

  • Crawl forward on hands and knees

  • Stand without support

  • Squat to pick up objects and stand again

  • Walk with assistance

  • Begin feeding themselves

🧒 12–24 Months

  • Walk independently and start climbing stairs (with help)

  • Throw and kick a ball

  • Climb on and off furniture

  • Begin running and jumping

🧒 2–3 Years

  • Walk sideways

  • Start jumping

  • Show early negotiation of stairs

  • Throw a ball overhand and underhand

  • Kick a ball forward

🧒 3–4 Years

  • Pedal a tricycle

  • Hop on one foot

  • Run with better coordination

  • Use stairs with alternating feet

🧒 5+ Years

  • Go up and down stairs independently

  • Jump jacks

  • Sit-ups and push-ups (basic strength)

  • Run longer distances

  • Participate in sports like football, basketball, kickball, etc.
